Yes. On successful completion you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID011, accepted across Australia.
It’s a 1-day, face-to-face class with hands-on practice and assessment led by an experienced trainer. (No online-only option—this is a physical course.)
Yes—digital certificates are issued on the same day once you’ve been deemed competent.
Industry practice is to refresh CPR (HLTAID009) every 12 months and refresh First Aid (HLTAID011) every 3 years to stay current with ARC guidelines. Your employer may set stricter intervals.
There are no formal academic prerequisites, but you must meet the physical requirements of assessment (see next question) and provide a USI at enrolment.
You must be able to perform at least 2 minutes of continuous single-rescuer CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor and follow AED prompts (among other practical tasks). If you have an injury or condition that may affect this, please contact us before booking.
A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a personal education number required for all nationally recognised VET training in Australia. You’ll need a USI to enrol and receive your certificate. It’s free and quick to create at usi.gov.au
